Sian Honnor is the flag bearer at tonight's CWG opening ceremony

Team England's flag bearer for tonight's Commonwealth Games opening ceremony is none other than Sian Honnor, appearing in her fifth CWG. She won triples bronze in Delhi in 2010 before claiming gold four years later in Glasgow. She added another bronze in 2018 in the Gold Coast and won her second Commonwealth title four years ago in Birmingham.

Sian is an ex-Bucks girl, having played at Burnham BC before leaving for university, getting married and moving to Kent.

She is well known to readers of Bowls International, having been its editor for a number of years and is still a regular contributor. She is a commentator for the television coverage from Potters and also at the National Finals at Leamington.

Good luck Sian!
