Bucks academy

The Academy invites all young boys and girls under 17 years of age, to participate in a fun day of bowls, with coaching and competitive bowls to the fore. The event is funded by the County, and is free to all young bowlers, which includes their lunch, a popular part of the days events.

This is the sixth year of the Bucks Junior Academy programme. Since 2017 we have made steady progress in reaching out to young bowlers in the clubs of Buckinghamshire, and the event allows them to meet and compete with their peers, while receiving coaching. Many young Academy bowlers are already being selected to the more senior County teams. So please encourage them to take part.

All young bowlers under 17 years of age, boys and girls, are invited to take part, in what is always a fun day of bowls AND FREE....

The morning programme will be focused on skill testing and coaching. In the afternoon, the under 14s will take part in competitive bowls, while the "14 plus" members of the JA will take part in matches targeted on developing them for the U25 Men and Ladies squads.

The immediate need is to gather in the names and ages of your attendees, to allow us to plan the day effectively, and most importantly cater for the starving youngsters (they are always hungry). Can I please ask you to provide these asap to allow us to plan another great day for our young bowlers? Should you have additional questions please contact Julie as indicated below.

Thank you in advance for the continued support to your young bowlers, and additionally your support of the County's Junior Academy.
